Many in the world are denying that Jesus Christ is the Eternal God of the Bible. The New Testament is filled with verses that declare without any hesitation that the Jehovah of the Old Testament is the Jesus of the New Testament.
1 John 5:20 ‘And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know Him (God) that is true, and we are in Him (God) that is true, even in His (God) Son Jesus Christ. This (Jesus Christ) is the true God, and eternal life.’
That little word ‘This’ is a demonstrative pronoun that refers back to the nouns just mentioned, ‘Jesus Christ’. You just can’t get anything clearer than that!
